A tornado with 150 miles per hour winds hit Apple Pond Farm and Renewable Energy Center on Earth Day, April 22nd, 2023. People and animals were unharmed, however we experienced extensive damage to our barn, outbuildings, fencing and home. More than 200 trees were damaged. Tours are suspended but we will continue to offer open houses on Sundays throughout the year so that our supporters and neighbors can see our progress during restoration.

Welcoming visitors for a close look at our farm has been our pleasure for more than 50 years. However, we are taking a pause during tornado damage recovery. Future guided visits will be listed on our "Programs" page. If you would like to see your restoration progress, we offer periodic Open Houses on Sundays during the season. We encourage you to consider how you might address climate change, conserve energy and produce some of your own food. Thanks to the Delaware Highlands Conservancy, our 80 acres are
now preserved as farm land in perpetuity.
