FARMING WITH KIDS IN UPSTATE NEW YORK
This is a hands on program for children - children who like animals and want to DO something: milk a goat, feed hay to sheep, goats and horses, gather eggs, sweep the barn, groom a horse. Every Friday and Saturday morning in summer from 10 a.m. for about an hour and a half. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Children $4.00. Adults $5.00. Call to confirm or see our farming with kids section for dates for New York.

EDUCATIONAL FARM TOURS FOR SCHOOLS AND GROUPS
School groups, home schoolers, seniors and more are invied to book a farm tour. Our purpose is to provide an experience that connects visitors to the natural world. It is a chance to see our animals and garden, to see how we make electricity and hot water from the sun and the wind. Tours change with the season, very in length. The tour is a chance to learn about several aspects farm life: goat milking, wool spinning, organic gardening, horse training, how to raise goats, sheep and horses. Reservations required.

INTERNSHIPS

Three months or longer. Farm interns learn by doing: making hay, gardening, sheep/goat/horse care, milking goats, fencing, cutting firewood. Renewable energy interns will learn about our renewable energy systems and straw bale construction; participation in community work to promote renewable energy is also an important part of this internship. Housing and meals are provided as well as a stipend.
