FARMING
WITH KIDS
This is a hands on program for children. It includes some of these
activities: milk a goat, grooming a horses, working in the garden,
gathering eggs etc. This program is Firday and Saturday
mornings in summer at 10 a.m. for about an hour and a quarter. Children
must be accompanied by an adult. Children $4.00. Adults $5.00. Call to

EDUCATIONAL FARM TOURS FOR
SCHOOLS AND GROUPS
School
groups, home schoolers, seniors and other groups are invited to book a
farm
tour. Our purpose is to provide an experience that connects
visitors to the natural world. Tours change with the season, vary in
length. You will learn about several aspects of farm life: milking
goats, spinning wool, organic gardening, raising goats, sheep,
horses, chickens and how we make electricity and hot water from the sun

WORKSHOPS
Making
goat cheese, spinning wool and renewable energy. See schedule
section for dates.
INTERNSHIPS
Three months or longer. Farm interns learn by doing: making hay,
gardening, caring for sheep, goats and horses, milking goats, fencing,
cutting
firewood. Renewable energy interns learn about our renewable
energy systems and straw bale construction; work with community groups
to promote renewable energy and sustainability, do online search,
attend and participate in local meetings and renewable energy events.
Housing and meals are provided as well as a stipend.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Organic
gardening and farming, making goat cheese, processing and spinning
wool, how to raise sheep
and goats. To be arranged on an individual or small group basis. Call

PARTIES
Celebrate a birthday or other special event at the farm. Design your
visit to meet the interests of your guests, children and adults. See
the animals, take a hike, learn to make felt or spin
wool, plant or pick in the garden, harvest wild edible plants, etc.
